INVITATION TO CONSIDER TIMBER PURCHASE
‘PINKNEY ROAD’ TIMBER SALE

Sealed bids will be taken by a representative of the City of St. Helens until 11:00 a.m., May 30, 2023, and opened immediately after that time at St. Helens City Hall, 265 Strand, St. Helens, OR 97051, for timber located in portions of the following legal subdivisions in the Milton Creek Watershed:

The sale area includes all or portions of the following:
Township 5 North – Range 2 West
Portion of Section-16
situated in Columbia County, Oregon.

There is one clearcut sale area, which is approximately 69-acres. Within the marked sale boundaries of the clear-cut area there is 1,810-MBF (net) of Douglas-fir, 23-MBF (net) of Western Redcedar, 13-MBF (net) of Western Hemlock, 5-MBF (net) of Bigleaf Maple, and 58-MBF (net) of Red Alder designated for sale and available for logging under the terms of the contract.

This is a recovery timber sale. Buyer will be responsible for the total amount of dollars, which is obtained by multiplying the bid price per thousand board feet by the volume recovered.

Each party intending to enter a bid must do so on a form and deliver the bid along with a certified or cashier's check in the sum of $25,000 made payable to the "City of St. Helens." The deposit of the successful bidder will be retained in the event that the successful bidder is unable or refuses to enter into the timber sale contract.

A copy of the invitation, which details the sale terms, including a minimum acceptable bid and the bid form, may be obtained by emailing Brent Keller, Forester for the City: bkeller@masonbruce.com.

The City of St Helens reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept the bid that is in the best interests of the City of St. Helens, and to make such decision as the City of St. Helens considers appropriate in the case of identical bids.
