Spring Planting at the Waterfront. Meet behind the County Courthouse on Sunday, May 31 at 10 a.m. to clean up and plant flowers. Due to COVID-19, we are asking that all youth bring their own hand tools and gloves. Means Nursery and Scappoose Bay Watershed have donated flowers and plants. We will have water, hand sanitizer, and wipes available on site.

The Youth Council was created to actively advise the City Council with thoughtful recommendations on issues concerning youth and to assist City staff in considering youth perspectives in its planning efforts.

If you are in grades 6-12 and attend St. Helens High School, St. Helens Middle School, St. Helens Alternative School, or are home schooled, you qualify to be a member.

Governance

The Youth Council is governed by St. Helens Municipal Code Chapter 2.70.
