Citizens Day in the Park
Saturday, August 11, 2018 - 11:00am
Join us for the second annual Citizens Day in the Park at McCormick Park on Saturday, August 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Citizens Day in the Park is an opportunity for you and your family to disconnect from technology and connect with other community members.
The day will include park games and family activities hosted by the St. Helens Recreation Program, an Oregon Army National Guard rock wall, a car show featuring the Highway 30 Cruisers, a free barbecue lunch at 1 p.m. (first come, first served), and drinks available for purchase from Dutch Bros Coffee.
“This is Us” St. Helens will be at the event for their final community paint event. Make sure to stop by their area and paint a miniature home that will be displayed this winter as a single community art piece that will contain over 3,500 miniature homes painted by the St. Helens community.
The St. Helens Recreation Program is hosting a free 1-mile fun run at 8 a.m., a cornhole tournament at 1 p.m., and showing Disney’s Moana in McCormick Park at 8:30 p.m. to add to the day’s events.
