Members of the Orchestra will talk about the history of the Ukulele and perform songs from its past

The St. Helens Public Library will be opening at 11:00am on Friday, January 24^th. 

On January 1st, 2020 House Bill 2509 banned the use of plastic bags in       Oregon. The St. Helens Public Library Bag Share Project gets together each month to sew reusable cloth bags. These bags are then given out to library patrons to borrow freely as an alternative to plastic and paper bags. We hope this will encourage our patrons to use re-usable bags both inside and outside the library.

We are having an interest meeting on the 14th from 3:30-4:30

The St. Helens Public Library is closed in observance of President's Day.

The St. Helens Public Library will be closed Monday, January 20, 2020, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

On January 18th, 2020, Marnita Bahmer of the Columbia Arts Guild will offer a workshop on making altered and repurposed books.

The class will focus on making accordion-style books which open to reveal the images inside. Marnita will walk participants through the process of making their own book and offer guidance throughout the creative process.

Please bring a hard cover book, metal edge ruler, scissors. Paints, glue, magazines and other fun bits will be made available.

Topic will be either Lineage societies: What are they and how do you join? or...Free genealogy resources at the St. Helens Public Library--books and much, much more.

Have you inherited some family tree information but need to know where to start or where to find “the harder stuff?” While each session's topic is unique they all begin with Q&A time so bring those questions and get to know your fellow genial genealogists!
