- Sandbag Station: 1230 Deer Island Road, St. Helens
- Downed tree or fallen debris blocking roadway: 503-397-1521

- Downed power line: 503-397-1844
Sandbag station: St. Helens Public Works maintains a sandbag station at 1230 Deer Island Road (across from the Columbia County Transit Center). This is a self-bagging station. Empty sandbags are available. Please bring your own shovel and only take sand for emergency flood prevention.
Downed power lines: Don’t touch downed power lines! You should always assume that a fallen power line can be deadly. Call 503-397-1844 if you see a downed power line.
Check storm drains: Our Public Works crew checks and clears storm drains regularly, but during the fall, grates can quickly clog with fallen leaves almost immediately after they have been cleaned. If you have a storm drain close to your property, you can help us keep roads safe from pooling water by checking the grate before the rain arrives and clearing leaves and other yard debris if you see it covering the grate.
