Maker 101 Certification: Glowforge (Adults)

Appointments can be scheduled with our Makerspace Librarian, Jana for the following activities: 

• Brief introduction to equipment that doesn't require certification for individual use
• Completion of the certification process for those unable to attend 101 Certification courses
• Help with individual projects

Appointments are scheduled in 30 minute increments. Due to limited availability, participants must be on time or must be rescheduled for another available date. Appointments will not run past the 30 minute mark.

Maker 101 Certification: Sewing (Adults)

Learn to use the Sewing Machine at the SHPL Makerspace! Participants will complete a group course about sewing in a safe & fun way. By completing this course, you'll be able to demonstrate your ability to use the sewing machine during Maker Mondays and Fridays on your own.

Maker 101 Certification: Soldering (Adults)

Learn to use the Soldering Iron at the SHPL Makerspace! Participants will complete a group course about soldering in a safe & fun way. By completing this course, you'll be able to demonstrate your ability to solder during Maker Mondays and Fridays on your own.

Maker Kids STEAM Club (Age 6-10)

Interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math? Join us for a fun introduction to a STEAM Maker activity led by Miss Jana! This hands-on class is for participants aged 6 - 10. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by their adult.

All Makerspace programs and activities are free and do not require a library card. There may be a small fee for supplies used.

The Columbia Center and St. Helens Public Library is closed in observance of the Veteran's Holiday. We will return to normal operating hours on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 10am Pacific Time.
